Day 01
AIRPORT – PINNAWALA - SIGIRYA



*Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage - started in 1975 to house the abandoned and the wounded, the orphanage has grown to be a big family today. The number of elephants has increased to more than 40 now, including baby Elephants brought from various parts, as well as the babies born, as a result of the captive breeding programme.

*Sigiriya - is home to the 5th Century “Fortress in the Sky” which is perhaps the most fantastic single wonder of the Island. It is also known as Lion Rock because of the huge lion that used to stand at the entrance to the fortress. Within its triple-moated defence the huge rock rises almost to a sheer height of 500ft. On its summit are the foundations of what was once a great and sumptuous palace and gardens complete with swimming pool. On one of the stairways the only known ancient work of Sinhala secular painting survived in the form of Frescoes of life sized damsels in all the freshness and delicacy of their original colour.


Travel Tips: There’s no sun protection from the sun at the summit. So remember to wear long cotton clothes and sun Protection and take your hats for extra protection on clear days.

Day 02 
SIGIRYA – KANDY

After having breakfast at the hotel, leaving to Kandy


*Kandy - the hill capital. The beautiful city, surrounded by hills and valleys, rivers, lakes and cascading waterfalls, boasts of the Royal Botanical gardens at Peradeniya .

*Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya - 147 acres in extent; Started in 1374 as a pleasure garden of the Kings of Gampola and Kandy. There are more than 5,000 species of trees, plants and creepers. Some rare and endemic as well as flora from the tropical world are found in the gardens. Spice Garden and Orchid House are popular with tourists. There are 5 Palm Avenues beautifying the gardens, the earliest and tallest Palm Avenue (Royal Palm Avenue) was planted in 1905 and the Double Coconuts from the Seashells Island, with the largest seed of all plants in the world is one such avenue.
Undertake a City Tour including - the Upper Lake Drive - a place where one could have a bird's eye view of the city , you can visit market square, Arts & Crafts centers and a Gem Museum - to see how the valuable gems that you see on a shop shelf are turned out from a raw stone with the back ground history. In the evening watch a Cultural Performance by traditional Kandyan Dancers and Drummers including devotional "Fire Walking" and walk across in the star lit night to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Buddha –By far the most important place of worship for Buddhist world over.

Cultural Dance Show – Evening you can witness the Cultural Dance Show in Kandy. Cultural show is one of the most famous event / sight seing available for the foreigners in their visit to Sri Lanka. This spontaneous event upheld the Sri Lankan Folk-lore dance which prevailed from the history. It shows the uniqueness of the Sri Lankan dance performances and the drummers who are very unique to Sri Lanka. As the final event in the Cultural show, walking on fire is done with the everlasting faith towards the god.

Gem Museum
Sri Lanka, the island known as the pearl of the Indian Ocean lives up to its nickname as a hotbed for a variety of gems. Sri Lanka is home to 40 varieties of Gems out of 85 varieties available in the whole world. Gems of Sri Lanka have found there way to many a court all over the world since time immemorial. At the gem museum visit you can have a better special knowledge about valuable gems in srilanka.

Day 03 
KANDY - NUWARA ELIYA

After having breakfast at the hotel you will be leaving to Nuwara Elia. On your way you will see lot of waterfalls , picturesque tea plantations and valleys & Tea Factories where you see the process of tea making.. and enjoy a cup of Ceylon tea. Also we can arrange a train ride to Nuwara Eliya from Kandy on Observation Deck. It is one of the most scenic train drive in Sri Lanka.


*Gregory Lake - was build under the period of British Governor Sir William Gregory in 1873. This is the most prominent attraction in Nuwara Eliya and all the viistors used to come here and spent some time by the lake and relax. This was used as a place for water sports and for re-recreational activities during the British time. With the recent face upliftment in Nuwara Eliya area, many recreation facilities introduced around the Gregory lake area. If you like to have a boat ride, there are several people offer that service. If you like to ride your own, there are two seater Swan Boats for hire. This is an ideal place for children to enjoy.

Day 04 
NUWARA ELIYA – YALA - TISSA

Early morning you will be leaving for Yala
You can commence a Jeep Safari in the evening.

*Yala - 185 miles from Colombo Yala National Park is 378 sq. miles in extent. Yala was established in 1938 from, what originally was a Sportsman’s shooting reserve. This is the most famous and well developed National Park where wild animals and birds could be observed. The Wild animals include Elephants in herds of varying sizes, Leopards, Wild Boar, Wild Buffalo, Crocodiles,and Peacocks, Jackal, Sloth Bear and other animals. The bird-life comprises of about 130 species including the resident and migrants. Painted storks, Paradise Flycatcher, Grey Herons, Serpent Eagle, Sea Eagle, Black-Necked Stork, Spoonbills, and Pelicans add colour to the bird-life in the park.


Afterwards you will be leaving to Tissamaharama

Day 05 
TISSA – UNAWATUNA BEACH

After having breakfast you will be leaving to Unawatuna for your beach stay.
On the way to Unawatuna you can visit a Turtle Hatchery.


*Turtle Hatchery - Where you can see five species of turtles-Green Turtles (Chelonia mydas), Hawksbill Turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata), Loggerhead Turtle (Caretta caretta), Leatherback Turtle (Dermochelys coriacea) and Olive Ridley Turtle (Lepidochelys olivacea). The eggs collected by the Villagers and Fishermen are purchased by the Kosgoda Hatchery and kept in sandy pens until they are hatched. The newly hatched ones are kept in seawater tanks and released to the sea in the night. Kids will enjoy.

Day 06 
LEISURE AT UNAWATUNA BEACH

Have your breakfast at the hotel. You will be leisurely staying at Unawatuna Beach on this day.

Day 07 
UNAWATUNA – COLOMBO

After having breakfast at the hotel, you will be leaving to Colombo. Take a fascinating journey in the capital of the isle paradise to taste it's cultural texture, witness it's bustling streets, visit bargain markets, and also relax while watching the uprising urban lifestyle of the capital. A port city favored by merchants of ancient era, this commercial and administrative hub of the country proves to be a blend of cultures, religions, and socioeconomic classes. Evening walk along the Galle Face Green and get chilled The Dutch Hospital is also in the area and there are many restaurants where one can enjoy a meal and the restaurants offer various cuisines so there are many options to choose from.
